Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking to hire a talented Service Desk Analyst to join us! Our team(s) drives relentless service improvement for our customers, simplify and automate processes, minimize operating risk to ensure high application availability, partner with engineers to improve the quality and usability of software, answer technical questions, conduct root cause analysis exercises, and provide JIT training. We have to keep the IT business running and improve it simultaneously using technologies and IT service management processes.

Responsibilities
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Work closely with a team of people to design and improve the way we work to deliver flawless IT service management to our mission partners .
- Develop software solutions for service management.
- Respond to service desk requests by resolving or assisting in determining root cause of software, hardware &network issues, engaging with system administrators or development team members, managing user accounts, and other business administration needs.
- Provide functional and business process testing to include test case development
- Monitor and report on system data and alerts
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA + 4-6 yrs of relevant experience
- For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required
- Skill and knowledge in computer programming technologies, programming concepts and techniques, database design and utilization, file structures, data analysis, and math.
- Customer Service Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DOE Clearance
- Superb communication, technical writing skills, attention to detail, and follow-through skills
- Experience with JavaScript, Python, and Jenkins.
- Experience in updating and running SQL scripts.
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Experience in using Atlassian Jira and Confluence
- Certifications and/or experience in ITIL (Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation), Customer Service Management, DevSecOps, Agile Development, Project Management
