Savannah River National Laboratory, Materials Technology and Energy Sciences Division is seeking an Administrative Advisor to support leadership with tactical and strategic program initiatives, as well as support the Division's day to day activities.
This position performs clerical/administrative or specialized support tasks. Uses administrative, data organizing and coordination skills to complete work. Entry into this career band typically requires vocational training or equivalent experience. Some positions may require a university degree. Provides Administrative Services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies; completing and monitoring administrative projects and workflow; maintaining rapport with customers, managers, and employees; resolving customer and employee problems; guiding employee actions.
Responsibilities
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Practices investigative techniques to determine the best approach.
- Creates internal alliances outside the immediate team or department.
- Possesses advanced communication skills involving complicated topics.
- Understands how their role relates to others on the team and the role of the team.
- Understands their discipline and good conceptualization of processes.
- Develops respect for ideas and proposals within the department.
- Works well in a team environment throughout the company.
- Does not manage employees, but may mentor and/or train subordinates.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree +4-6 yrs of administrative support experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

About The Team
SRNL’s Environmental & Legacy Management (ELM) Directorate closely collaborates with the Department of Energy (DOE) and site contractors to develop, mature, and apply science and technology needed to resolve environmental challenges and advance legacy management missions. As the lead laboratory for Environmental Management (DOE-EM) and Legacy Management (DOE-LM), SRNL applies our talent and expertise to develop and deploy innovative approaches and technologies to reduce risk, cost, and schedule of environmental cleanup and nuclear material processing. Additionally, ELM is using our competencies to develop new materials and processes for a range of clean energy applications.
