Job Description
Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to assist the Director's Office and other Senior Leadership in driving the execution of laboratory wide initiatives and coordination of laboratory wide assets. The Project Coordinator will interface with all laboratory organizations to facilitate and track activities and actions to completion. This position will organize and present data to allow leaders to have visibility of status to facilitate decision making. Flexibility and the ability to manage change in a dynamic organization are critical skills required for the position.
Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator will assist with planning and coordination of laboratory wide programs and projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Practices investigative techniques to determine the best approach.
- Creates internal alliances across organizations.
- Utilizes advanced communication skills to provide information on complicated topics.
- Conceptualization of processes.
- Develops respect for ideas and proposals from multiple functions.
- Builds goal-oriented teams.
- Understands and communicates how their role relates to others on the team and the role of the team.
- Mentors and/or trains others.
- Helps others manage change.
- Uses common sense to resolve routine issues.
- Sets agendas for team activities and documents outcomes in meeting minutes.
- Works safely with particular attention to quality. Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA + 4-6 yrs of relevant experience
- For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex issues to stakeholders, leaders, and partners.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions and teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically, identify creative solutions, and resolve conflicts.
Preferred Qualifications
- DOE or National Laboratory experience
