What You'll Do
- Responsible for coordinating and directing Infrastructure Maintenance-performed Projects, to include walkdowns, planning, design, workability reviews, material management, and execution
- Interfaces with support organizations regarding radiation safety, industrial safety, risk management, explosives safety, nuclear explosives safety, waste management, industrial hygiene, environmental restoration, quality assurance, safeguards and security, engineering and operations support.
- Responsible for conducting routine inspections of all work areas assigned and developing corrective actions necessary to ensure continued operations.
- Coordinates with Infrastructure Craft shops and support groups to schedule and execute work
- Responsible for initiating and coordinating corrective actions via requests for corrective, preventive, operational, and modification/bettermentwork/maintenance work requests.
- Interact daily with facility support engineering in order to maintain facility operating systems.
- Assist with Condition Assessments of the facility to identify needed improvements and repairs, and to assist with securing funding for these repairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned/requested.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience. Typical experience ranging from 10 to 15 years.
- Master’s degree: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience. Typical experience ranging from 10 to 15 years.
- PhD: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- OR applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 15 years of completed education and/or relevant experience
Department Of Energy (DOE) Order 426.2A Requirements
In addition to the above requirements, the applicant must also meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (i.e., High School diploma and 3 years nuclear experience, or a DOE O 426.2A alternative). DOE O 426.2A experience requirements can be satisfied following employment. In the interim, newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
