Our Project Integration department of the Business Services team is seeking a driven student who has the desire to gain valuable, real-world experience related to Project Integration, Project Controls, Estimating, Risk Management and Scheduling.
This Co-Op Internship is in Richland, WA; the work site may be within the city limits or outside on the Hanford site.
The Project Management Co-Op duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Providing a broad range of Project Integration related support to the department working within established procedures and CPCCo Earned Value Management System.
- Learning about day-to-day activities associated with the CPCCo Project Controls Analyst function.
- Assisting program functions while developing a working knowledge of project integration systems, processes and functions.
- Assisting Project teams while developing a working knowledge of the project controls analyst function and how it applies to direct work functions.
- Developing a working knowledge of the following: P6 scheduling software, COBRA cost system, the Vendor Accrual Integration Module (VAIM), and MS Excel.
Basic Qualifications
To be eligible for the CPCCo Cooperative Education (Co-Op) Program, you must meet the following criteria:
- A U.S. citizen.
- At least 18 years of age.
- An active full-time student during the two semesters/quarters immediately preceding the assignment.
- Maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) during their college enrollment.
- Actively enrolled in a full-time degree program that relates to CPCCo, with emphasis in specific disciplines that support the cleanup mission and aligns with the critical skills and job assignments requirements.
- Able to work full-time (40 hours) during the internship experience. The internship typically provides up to 12-weeks of business experience during the summer break.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to effectively interact with and convey information to company personnel and management.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with attention to detail.
- Motivated to learn, have a questioning attitude, and be forward thinking.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, and more importantly Excel).
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and/or Cobra cost management.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting hourly rate ranges from $20.00 to $26.70, depending on academic standing (sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate) and degree discipline.
In accordance with the Service Contract Act, this position is also eligible for the health & welfare wage adder of up to $4.57 per hour.
