Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities
THIS IS A CASUAL POSITION WORKING A MAXIMUM OF 900 HOURS PER CALENDAR YEAR
Occupational Safety is looking for support on performing surveillances to ensure continued compliance with Safety Programs. In addition, the team would like assistance with initiating Facility Workplace Inspections for the SEO facilities into a new database and support for metric development, as well as support on continuing maintenance of the SAA Dashboard in PowerBI.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in researching, extracting, analyzing, and compiling technical data
- Assist with Surveillances (Motor Vehicle Safety, Hearing Protection, Subcontractor Safety)
- Assist with updated FWIP checklists (SEO) being performed in OpenRange and metric development
- Assist with SAA PowerBI Dashboard maintenance.
- Assists in the preparation of reports, graphs, proposals, studies, and correspondence.
- Assists with reviewing, compiling, and summarizing data and in the identification of potential or actual areas of non-compliance or potential process improvement.
- Assists in and review project design and technical documents.
- Performs work of limited scope and basic complexity (under supervision), generally in support of more senior compliance professionals.
- May provide support of operations at Nuclear or High Hazard (HH) facilities to maintain a condition and configuration to accept and support programs and projects.
- May follow or develop checklists for specific related tasks related to project process improvement.
- May support execution of program/project activities and data collection.
- May perform process flow assignments, revise prints, and prepare sketches. May conduct inspections on work in progress related to the assigned project.

Qualifications
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Some vocational training preferred.
- BA or BS degree is preferred
- May be required to participate in the Human Reliability Program (HRP)
- Must possess excellent oral/written communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Must possess excellent research and analytical skills.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all levels of people, from front line to executive leadership, in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while maintaining confidentiality.
- Works under direct supervision with general guidance from more experienced regulatory compliance officers. Limited use and/or application of principles, theories, and concepts. Follows specific established procedures and instructions.
- Closely coordinates work efforts through interaction with peers, program leads, and supervisor.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation.
- The primary work location will be at the North Las Vegas facility.
- Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’

Hourly range for this position is:
$22.32 - $33.48.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
