Under the supervision of a system responsible engineer, the applicant will participate/assist in fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, inventory control and maintenance of instrumentation and programmable electronic equipment particularly PLC based systems. Applicant should be able to read electronic and electromechanical drawings and be familiar with instrumentation, controls and equipment for air, water, vacuum, and cryogenics.
Applicant will also participate in wide ranging activities such as: control panel fabrication, cable pulling/terminating, soldering, crimping, and diagnosing problems on complex PLC based interlock systems. Applicant will also interact with other APS groups as required. The applicant will be required to work some overtime as the APS operating condition demands. The ability to perform in a team environment with changing priorities is essential. The work will support the activities and tasks at the APS site in the Safety Interlock group of the APS Engineering Support Division.

Position Requirements
1-2 years of experience fabricating/wiring control panels and terminating cabling to devices and panels
