Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Security Systems Lead Technician to work in our Physical Security Systems department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Central Facilities and Idaho Nuclear Technology and Engineering Center with every Friday off. You will provide front line leadership, technical direction, coordination, and work direction to Security Systems technicians and represented instrument technicians. You will perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, modifications, and installations on complex electronic intrusion detection, video assessment, access control, and other security equipment. You will report directly to the manager of the Physical Security Systems (PSS) department. Responsibilities Include: - Lead and supervise in the integrated work control process including writing and closing out corrective maintenance work orders on the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). - Serve as the primary interface for customers including operations, Protective Force, facilities, maintenance, engineering, project managers, and Physical Security Officers in matters pertaining to security systems. - Conduct INL briefings and post job reviews. - Maintain spare supplies, parts, and materials for the assigned area. - Provide On the Job Training (OJT) for security Technicians. - Serve as the Training Point of Contact for PSS including interfacing with training coordinators to develop, update and review lesson plans. Identify and assist in determining training needs and requirements for the PSS Department. - Implement equipment labeling practices following company and Security Systems procedures. - Comply with company standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. Identify potential hazards or unsafe conditions, which may include exercising “Stop Work Authority.” - Ensure that PSS drawings are maintained in an as-built condition by verifying that the actual physical configuration is depicted accurately on drawings. - Conduct and document routine self-assessments. - Provide technical input and recommendations to co-workers, customers, management, engineering, and management relating to security equipment requirements and applications detailed in Safeguards and Security Program documents. - Ensure that only Materials and Test Equipment (M&TE) with current and reliable calibration is used, when needed; that MT&E used is of the proper type, range, accuracy, and tolerance to accomplish the function of determining conformance to specified requirements; and that M&TE is calibrated and controlled as required. - Complete and maintain training, required reading and qualifications specified for assigned tasks.
