Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Facility Support Specialist/Maintenance Coordinator to work in our Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) Operations Facility Support department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our ATR facility with every Friday off. You will monitor operations, facility operations, and related oversight of planning, maintenance, modifications, and space allocations for facilities with nuclear capabilities. You will verify that activities conducted in facilities comply with regulatory requirements, ensure training requirements are met, advise on all aspects of safety, quality and efficiency associated with conduct of operations, and coordinate facility upgrades, maintenance, and repairs. You will report directly to the manager of the ATR Operations Facility Support department. Responsibilities: - Oversee operation activities to ensure the facility is operated safely and in full compliance with all laboratory requirements, federal and state regulations, orders, and permits. - Manage the condition, maintenance, flow of materials in and out of facilities in support of experiments and exercises, and storage of materials and equipment. - Perform reviews and oversight of various operation systems design, construction, set-up, and operation. - Coordinate with program managers, project managers, and experiment managers to ensure that laboratory spaces are maintained efficiently and provide capabilities in accordance with the schedule(s) as well as organizational strategic plans. - Conduct reviews of system and activity compatibility and coordination/scheduling all system operations within the facility. - Allocate personnel to specific job assignments, direct workflow, coordinate production schedules, coordinate activities such as repairs, lock and tag, facility activities, and acts on employee problems. - Identify facility deficiencies and coordinate with enabling organizations to correct. - Accountable for reviewing and approving maintenance WOs and WOCs to ensure the work instructions adequately identify work scope, safety hazards, hazard itigation/controls, provide sufficient detail to control the work and comply with TSR, and other company policies. - Act as an expert in the safe conduct of operations. Oversee and mentor project managers and technicians in the planning and execution of complex and high-risk operations. Drive continuous improvement in processes, procedures, tools, and equipment. - Support compliance programs such as ISMS, Contractor Assurance Program, Quality Assurance Program, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance. - Guide and mentor more junior staff members. - Escort and oversee subcontractors as required. - Act as Operations Maintenance Coordinator per ATR Operations Standing Directives (SD)-11.1.25. - Other duties as assigned.
