Job Description
Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking an experienced professional to join our operations and facilities organization. The Work Planning and Control Specialist provides daily "hands on" support and guidance to the Planning Function. Candidates should be familiar with DOE and SRNL internal procedures and policies for the planning and execution of maintenance and electrical work activities in an operating Laboratory that supports Nuclear, Industrial, and Commercial missions.
Responsibilities
Responsible for general mission, auxiliary, or unit support activities. Provides routine direct and indirect operational services to the Laboratory. Some roles perform specialized technical tasks required to support the mission of the laboratory (e.g., IT development and research support). Typically requires appropriate vocational training, related professional certification(s), or the equivalent experience, but usually does not require a university degree. Execute short to mid-range planning and scheduling functions for the implementation or support of a facilities operation, outage for maintenance or significant project work activity to meet delivery times and best utilize the organization's productive capacity. Provide management and the working levels with the capability of maintaining schedule control throughout the life cycle of a project or work activity.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma and 4 years of Planning at a DOE Nuclear Facility or equivalent plus 6 years of Electrical and Mechanical Planning and Scheduling experience
- For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is LegallyRequired
- Must possess strong communications, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Background in Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance is a preferred
