Job Description
The Hydrogen Isotope Science Group is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, career-level individual to fulfill the role of Research & Development Operations Support.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will perform the following responsibilities:
- Help overseeing and managing daily R&D operation workflows to ensure smooth and safe execution of research activities.
- Assist in logistical coordination and in occasions, in resource scheduling for R&D project, as concurred with the R&D execution manager(s).
- Ensure operation of R&D activities within BSRA SCOR principles.
- Coordinate activities across different R&D teams.
- Helps implementing and ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures, managing hazardous, materials, waste, precious metals, and helps being POC for coordination of waste disposal efforts within the facility.
- Lead and mentor scientists, post-docs and R&D operations specialists.
- Foster a collaborative team environment within R&D operations.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven ability to manage complex workflows, preferably involving cross-functional teams.
- Project management skills are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, proven record of building relationships
- Diagnoses issues using a systematic and methods approach.
- Does not manage employees but will mentor and/or train subordinates.
- Works safely with particular attention to quality. Complies with all policies and standards. Maintain appropriate level government security clearance.
- BS + 7-9 yrs; MS + 6-8 yrs; PhD + 5-7 yrs
