The CPCCo Business Operations team is seeking a self-directed and well-organized Account & Financial Analyst with a strong willingness to mentor others and works well in a team environment. If you are a Finance professional with the ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, we want to speak to you!
Under direction of organizational leadership, performs assignments of an advanced degree of complexity, solves unique problems that have a broad impact on the business or direction of the Finance organization, and is recognized as a subject matter expert within the Finance organization. Has the required knowledge and ability to select and apply standard financial and accounting techniques, procedures, and criteria in the Finance Organization.
Performs duties requiring independent thought and judgment. Displays good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
A day in the life of an Account & Financial Analyst involves, but is not limited to:
- Develop, review and issue company balance sheets, profit and loss statement, cash flow and other financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606.
- Reconciliation of monthly General Ledger accounts and responsibility for determining path forward to clear outstanding reconciling items including recommendations to management on how items are to be resolved. Prepare related journal entries.
- Assist with reconciliation and monitoring of customer billings including the aging of the billings and reconciling costs to invoicing and funding. Assist with resolving invoicing short pays and unbilled costs.
- Analyze compliance issues and recommend resolution to internal customers.
- Prepare and Analyze:
- Monthly indirect rate validation, analysis, and internal presentation.
- Annual provisional billing rates and subsequent rate revisions.
- Monthly general ledger reconciliations associated with indirect rates.
- Annual rate liquidations.
- Annual Incurred Cost Submission.
- Act as a peer reviewer when assigned by management.
- Prepare contract deliverables in accordance with the prime contract, as needed.
- Assist with capital determination and project tracking in accordance with the applicable DOE guidelines and procedures.
- Participate in initiatives to assess, and develop or revise policies, procedures, and guidance documents to ensure continuing compliance and mitigate risk.
- Work special projects upon request providing sound technical strategies and recommendations to management.
- Collaborate and provide insightful interpretive compliance guidance leading to improved accountability and process improvements within the organization including improvements to existing systems/tools.
- Leads projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution; uses discretion and judgement on matters of significance.
- Proactively identifies and solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions.
- Impacts the direction of business, operational, or project objectives.
Basic Qualifications
- Senior Level Grade 18: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 8 or more years of relevant experience.
- Senior Level Grade 19: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 9 or more years of relevant experience.
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of accounting principles and concepts including GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and regulatory compliance such as Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR), Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation (DEARs), and DOE Directives.
- Knowledge of various systems including but not limited to Asset Suite, PeopleSoft ERP systems, Crystal Reporting, and QuickBooks.
- Advanced excel and access competencies.
- Ability to communicate ideas in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbally
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
- Senior Level Grade 18: $104,175 - $131,425
- Senior Level Grade 19: $114,475 - $144,325
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.

- Relocation Eligibility: Must be located greater than 50 miles from Richland, WA 99352. If eligible for relocation, the Not To Exceed (NTE) range offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience in relation to the position grade level offered. The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact.
