Reporting to the Recruiting Team Leader, the Executive Recruiter plays a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and securing top-tier senior leadership talent, supporting our mission to advance scientific discovery and innovation. This role involves collaborating closely with hiring managers and senior leaders to develop and execute strategic recruitment plans, ensuring a seamless candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding. While primarily focusing on key leadership positions, the Executive Recruiter must also be flexible in maintaining a recruiting portfolio to other key areas as assigned throughout the laboratory.
This position is based at the PNNL main campus in Richland, WA. We offer a hybrid work model, blending on-site presence with the flexibility to work from home occasionally.
Responsibilities- Specialize in identifying and attracting talent through innovative and strategic recruitment strategies.
- Develop and implement candidate generation strategies leveraging platforms such as LinkedIn, etc.
- Partner with hiring managers, senior leaders, and lab leadership to understand business objectives and develop comprehensive candidate profiles.
- Conduct market research and leverage talent insights to inform recruitment strategies and discussions with stakeholders.
- Continuously review and enhance recruitment strategies for efficiency and effectiveness in engaging and attracting top talent.
- Lead complex search committee meetings, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.
- Conduct in-depth research on industry trends and competitive landscape to devise targeted recruitment strategies.
- Serve as a brand advocate for PNNL, promoting our mission and values to attract high-caliber candidates.
- Represent PNNL at job fairs, conferences, and meetups to build relationships and attract top talent.
- Evaluate candidate resumes, conduct initial interviews, and assess qualifications.
- Present the most suitable candidates to the hiring leader and facilitate the selection process.
- Proactively address candidate concerns and objectives to ensure offer acceptance.
- Prepare, negotiate, and extend job offers, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Champion inclusion and belonging throughout every aspect of the hiring journey.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and policies.
- Stay up to date with new technological trends and industry best practices.
- Serve as a mentor and resource to the Talent Acquisition Team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA and 7 years recruiting experience which includes 2 years recent executive recruiter experience -OR-
- MS/MA or higher and 5 years recruiting experience which includes 2 years recent executive recruiter experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Certification in Talent Acquisition (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, CTAS, CIR, etc.).
- Proficient with MS Office, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
