SMX is currently seeking a CSSO/FSO in Fayetteville, NC. This position is responsible for implementing the industrial security program and ensuring company and customer security requirements are met. The successful candidate will interface with all levels of SMX and government management personnel to ensure contract security compliance. The position requires a self-motivated candidate capable of working independently as well as in a team environment with minimal direction. Establish and manage a secure facility (Closed Area & SCIF). This role is onsite in Fayetteville, NC.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish and oversee security procedures in accordance with the 32 CFR Part 117, Intelligence Community Directives, Department of Defense (DoD), and other applicable government sponsor regulations, as well as SMX Standard Practice Procedures (SPPs).
- Maintain and manage cleared facilities and cleared personnel to ensure employees have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access.
- Establish and manage secure areas (e.g., closed areas, SCIFs) for performance of classified contracts, as required.
- Conduct government required Self-Assessments of the Facility, records, systems, personnel records, etc., developing corrective actions when required.
- Participate in DCSA and customer-required Security Assessments to include completing all pre-assessment documents as required, ensuring Senior Management is appropriately prepared, and ensuring corrective actions are addressed as required.
- Review and prepare DD-254’s (or equivalent) to identify security requirements from proposal stage to contract closeout.
- Maintain DCSA 147, accreditation documents, SOPs, etc.
- Maintain physical security for facility to include managing and upkeep of the U.L. 2050 alarm system(s), key management, badging, etc.
- Maintain FCL safeguarding to include managing safes and locks to include use of SF700s, 701s, and 702s.
- Processes incoming and outgoing classified shipments, documents, and materials.
- Serve as Alternate COMSEC Custodian and be the primary COMSEC security point of contact for the Fayetteville facility.
- Process incoming and outgoing classified visits to include passing visits via DISS or other customer specific procedures.
- Responsible for preparation of all SCI related documentation for submission to the Customer, if required.
- Maintain a relationship with DCSA Representative(s), Contractor Officer Representatives (CORs), customer Security Points of Contact (POCs), and Subcontractor(s).
- Assists in the development of and tracking of personnel for required company and USG compliance training.
- Provide guidance to employees and subcontractors regarding matters of program security to include classification determination and marking guidance.
- Conducts internal investigations involving security incidents and violations.
- Provide security indoctrinations, debriefings, and annual refresher trainings.
- Support classified discussion/meetings
- Assist with Facility needs/requirements by working with landlord and company Facilities department
- Process employees for CACs.
- Serve as SIPR and NIPR Trusted Agent
- DCS Courier duties as needed to transport classified and highly sensitive material in support of programs
- Sponsor subcontractors for FCLs as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Fulfill tickets in the ServiceNow environment to respond to employee needs and security requirements
Required Skills/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree, with minimum 7+ years related Security experience supporting government classified programs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives and associated industrial security regulations, policies, and laws.
• DCSA-certified FSO.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Ability to effectively interface with various levels of employees and management.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess and maintain a current and active Security Clearance at the Top-Secret level or higher.
• Experience with DISS, NBIS, NISS, NCAIS, SWFT, NCCS, and ACCS
Desired Skills/Experience
• Working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 and its companion technical specifications.
• Strong customer service and service delivery orientation; well organized and confident to work independently but be a strong team player.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize a workload with minimal supervision; be self-motivated and result oriented.
• Experience with ATIMS, NEATS, and CIW a plus.
• SIMS and c-CURE experience desired.

The proposed salary for this position is:: $110,300 USD - $183,800 USD
