What You'll Do
Pantex Human Resources (HR) is actively seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, and data-driven professional deeply committed to understanding and maximizing the strategic impact of compensation. This pivotal role offers the chance to directly influence how Pantex attracts, retains and rewards top talent.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on designing fair, competitive, and forward-thinking compensation programs. More than spreadsheets, joining the Compensation team is an opportunity to shape the employee experience and support strategic business decisions at Pantex, a cornerstone of the nation’s nuclear deterrent.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to develop competitive and fair job offers using market data and internal equity principles to support hiring
- Analyze market data, trends, and benchmarks to guide pay decisions and maintain salary structures that support Pantex’s compensation philosophy
- Support job evaluations and leveling across the organization to ensure consistency and internal equity
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of compensation tools, resources, and dashboards
- Assist in the planning and execution of compensation cycles including merit increases, promotions, and variable pay programs
- Learn and apply compensation policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
- Collaborate with HR business partners, recruiters, other HR functions, and organizational leaders on compensation-related initiatives
- Serve as a trusted resource by providing timely, clear, and thoughtful guidance on compensation-related questions, bringing a strong customer service mindset to every interaction
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. (Typical relevant experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.)
- OR Master's Degree with: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. (Typical relevant experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.)
- NOTE: Applicants without a Bachelor's Degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 10 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.

Preferred Job Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Experience in Compensation, Talent Acquisition, HR analytics, or a related HR/finance role
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas)
- High attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain data and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- A foundational understanding of compensation principles and/or human resources concepts
- Experience with Human Resources Information System (HRIS), compensation systems, and/or compensation surveys
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 709. Medical requirements may apply.
