What You'll Do
Provides assistance to technical staff by coordinating and supporting activities such as changes to technical procedures, validation of process changes, usage of Enterprise Resource Planning products (IPRO), and creation of documentation for execution of work. May represent Production and Manufacturing Engineering in meetings with various on-site and off-site organizations. Performs duties with opportunity for exercise of initiative, independent judgment and discretion under general supervision. Is accountable for the results of actions taken. Coordinate implementation of weapon processing changes with various on-site and off-site organizations. May conduct self-assessments/surveillance of selected plant operations and plant procedures, prepares and issues reports, recommendations for corrective action, and conducts follow-up for correction of non-compliant conditions.
The employee's primary duty is the performance of office or non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations of the Company, and such primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment denoted as follows: examples include - having the authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement management policies or operating practices; carrying out major assignments related to the operation of the Company's business; work that affects business operations of the Company to a major degree, and having the authority to commit the Company in matters having significant financial impact. Independent judgment and discretion involves the comparison and evaluation of possible courses of conduct and having the authority to make an independent choice, free from immediate direction with respect to matters of significance.

Preferred Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical and/or business-related discipline combined with at least 2 years of experience.
- Plant experience working on the manufacturing line, preferred
- Ability to develop and maintain historical information
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate verification and validation of procedures with technical and operations personnel prior to release for approval and implementation
- Ability to recommend, prepare, and maintain operating procedures
- Ability to utilize automated workflow system
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to interact with organizations across the plant
- Ability to present information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word
- Ability to read, interpret and apply requirements of technical drawings and documents

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 709. Medical requirements may apply.
