What You'll Do
This position is responsible for the administration, support, and technical maintenance of SAP systems with primary responsibility for SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME) and SAP ECC environments.
This role provides hands-on technical support for SAP landscapes that directly support shop floor operations and production activities. The position ensures system availability, performance, stability, and compliance with enterprise cybersecurity and governance standards. Responsibilities include system monitoring, patching, upgrades, performance troubleshooting, transport management, and support of integrations between SAP ME and SAP ECC.
Due to the operational nature of manufacturing systems, this position follows a hybrid work model with onsite presence required at least two days per week.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline with five (5) or more years of relevant SAP Basis experience
Preferred Job Requirements
SAP Basis & Manufacturing Execution Expertise
- Experience administering SAP systems including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and system lifecycle management (ECC, NetWeaver, SAP HANA).
- Direct experience supporting SAP Manufacturing Execution (ME) and/or SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII) environments.
- Understanding of manufacturing system architectures, including integration between SAP ERP and shop floor systems.
- Experience supporting highly available, production-critical systems.
Platform & Systems Administration
- Experience supporting SAP environments across Linux and Windows platforms
- Experience with SAP HANA and/or Oracle database administration, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with system performance optimization in high-throughput manufacturing environments.
Integration & Operational Support
- Experience supporting integrations between SAP ME and other enterprise systems (ERP, quality systems, warehouse management, etc.).
- Knowledge of interface technologies and middleware commonly used in SAP landscapes.
- Experience troubleshooting cross-system and network-related issues affecting production operations.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices.
Automation & Development Support
- Experience with shell scripting and/or Python for operational automation.
- Working familiarity with ABAP, UI5/Fiori, or SAP development tools sufficient to support developers and troubleshoot system-level issues.
Communication & Collaboration
- Ability to work closely with manufacturing stakeholders, production support teams, application developers, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Manufacturing Execution Support
- Administer and maintain SAP ME and related SAP systems supporting manufacturing operations.
- Ensure system availability and performance for production-critical environments.
- Support production deployments, manufacturing system updates, and planned maintenance activities.
- Participate in root cause analysis for shop floor system incidents.
SAP Basis Administration
- Perform SAP installations, upgrades, patches, kernel updates, and system refreshes.
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity.
- Support database administration activities
- Maintain transport management and landscape consistency across environments.
Integration & Operational Reliability
- Support system interfaces between SAP ME and other enterprise or shop floor systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration and performance issues.
- Ensure systems operate in compliance with cybersecurity, audit, and governance requirements.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.
- Identify automation opportunities to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to SAP platform stability and modernization.
