What You'll Do
Serves as a member of a multidisciplinary technical security team providing a broad range of support to a comprehensive Technical Security Program comprised of the Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) and TEMPEST elements outlined in DOE/NNSA 470.6.
The primary duties focus on conducting TSCM services to detect, deter, and prevent unauthorized technical access to government facilities, equipment, and/or information and possible loss of sensitive or classified information. The candidate must have the appropriate skill set and knowledge to perform Technical Security surveys, inspections, monitoring activities, and prepare detailed reports for each service conducted. In addition, the candidate will assess, evaluate, and take the actions necessary as a technical specialist to maintain/ensure that all TSCM operations and programs are functioning as required in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- OR Master's degree: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- OR PhD: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- OR fifteen or more years of relevant education, training, and/or progressive experience considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting
- Graduate from the approved federal Technical Surveillance Countermeasure (TSCM) course.
- Experience performing TSCM surveys, inspections, and monitoring of radio frequency signals.
- Ability to travel occasionally, lift over 50 pounds in a safe and controlled manner, climb and work at heights, work in small enclosed spaces, and occasionally work irregular shifts as related to TSCM assignments.
- Possess an advanced level of knowledge in one or more of the following areas: RF analysis, electronic test and measurement equipment, telephone systems, electrical systems, network security, and acoustics.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Graduate from a formal electronics course with at least an associate's degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer-related discipline with at least 7 years job related experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience in electronics with extensive radio frequency (RF) background.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to independently manage competing priorities, balance rival goals of a technical mission with security requirements, and complete multiple projects and assignments in a timely manner.
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills for presenting formal and informal briefings, coordination and liaison activities, and writing reports, letters and other documentation.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, concepts, practices, standards, and processes for multiple security disciplines to include counterintelligence.
