What You'll Do
The Senior Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) will lead the PMO that defines, maintains, and ensures project management standards with a focus on people, processes, and performance. Integrate the functional processes related to project execution.
Specific responsibilities include:
People
- Create an Employee Development Program for Project Managers (development plans, formal and non-formal training, progression process to move from small to large to line-item project management, etc.).
- Assist VP, Project Management with all Human Resource actions (resource planning/allocation, hiring, compensation, performance appraisals, etc.).
- Develop and implement a Project Management Communications plan.
Processes
- Lead project management streamlining efforts focused on urgency in delivering projects and enabling the Y-12/CNS mission.
- Develop and document Project Management processes using a graded approach in terms of importance and risk to site missions.
- Define roles, responsibilities, accountabilities and authorities of Project Managers.
- Integrate the functional processes related to project execution.
Performance
- Develop a management assessment program.
- Conduct assessments of project and team performance, maintain lessons learned, and updated processes accordingly.
- Develop long-term strategy for continuous improvement of Project Management’s people, processes, and performance.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 15 years relevant experience. Minimum 5 years of relevant supervisory/ management experience.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Knowledge of project management principles.
- Experience and knowledge of functional interfaces related to project delivery.
