What You'll Do
Serve as the Manager for the Global Security and Strategic Partnership (GSSP) pursuit team, reporting to the Director of International & Strategic Partnership Programs Office.
The Manager for the GSSP pursuit team is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the implementation of the GSSP Strategic Plan through the development, operational execution, and communication of execution roadmaps for the organization’s key initiatives. The GSSP Strategic Plan outlines the roadmap for how GSSP will achieve our Strategic Vision to be the leader for global security and stability in the Nuclear Security Enterprise by reducing threats that align with our four centers of excellence:
•Uranium Processing and Applications
•Lithium Processing and Applications
•Special Nuclear Material Security
•Weapons/Assembly Disassembly
Other Key Responsibilities include:
•Lead the formulation, implementation, and continuous improvement of the GSSP strategic plan to align with organizational objectives and address emerging global security challenges and opportunities
•Oversee all campaign initiatives targeted at securing strategic partnerships.
•Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, risks, and opportunities to ensure GSSP remains a leader in security solutions.
•Build and maintain relationships with potential partners, focusing on alignment with global security initiatives.
•Work with cross-functional teams to create compelling proposals and presentations that resonate with stakeholders.
•Translate strategic initiatives into actionable execution roadmaps, ensuring measurable outcomes and alignment with GSSP’s mission and vision.
•Identify, develop, and lead cross-functional teams as necessary to accomplish key initiatives, and cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local, state, and federal government agencies and industry partners.
•Monitor, evaluate, and communicate the effectiveness of the strategic plan, adjusting priorities and approaches as needed to respond to evolving threats and opportunities
•Ensure initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and that strategic initiatives are appropriately communicated and vetted through CNS executive leadership and YFO/external stakeholders as appropriate.
•Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of GSSP professionals who will ensure SPP project coordination and program development leads, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration.
•Provide regular updates to senior GSSP leadership on the progress of the GSSP strategic plan updates, key pursuit progress, key initiatives, and partnership outcomes.
•Maintain and update the GSSP strategic plan to reflect new and evolving pursuits on a 3 year schedule.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Job Requirements
- MS degree in a relevant discipline and 15 years’ relevant work experience or Doctoral degree in a relevant discipline and 8 years’ relevant work experience is preferred.
- DOE security clearance at the SCI level.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic plans and leading complex, high-impact initiatives
- Strong understanding of global security trends, risk management frameworks, and partnership dynamics
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills – with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
