What You'll Do
- Be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of strategic Information Technology projects ensuring consistency with and adherence to company strategies, policies, processes, methodologies, commitments and goals
- Manage and direct the day-to-day activities of one or more projects including the formulation of the project teams, development of project execution plans, and deliverables
- Lead complex IT projects through the full project life-cycle to include project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring, and project closure to successfully deliver assigned projects within agreed upon constraints (e.g., scope, schedule, cost, and quality)
- Develop and execute full scale project plans to include deliverables, goals, milestones, resource loading, and cost; manages the project budget, and project resources
- Direct and utilize project team resources to successfully deliver assigned projects within agreed upon constraints (e.g., scope, schedule, cost, and quality). Participate with project teams, peers, and management to resolve resource conflicts, priorities, and project issues
- Develop and maintain project and/or technical documentation, per procedures; and ensure completeness and accuracy
- Ensure effective communications exists with and among projects for which he/she is responsible
- Brief management weekly and/or monthly on project activities, cost, schedule, status, and technical performance
- Participate in departmental management processes such as planning, budgeting, and scheduling
- Participate and/or develop procurement deliverables (e.g., statements of work, bills of material) for external services and materials; may require serving in a subcontractor administrator role
- Occasional travel may be required

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Typical engineering/science experience ranging from 3 to 7 years.
- OR Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline.
- OR Applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 10 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

- Knowledge and understanding of project management best practices and processes such as those of the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Knowledge and understanding of project lifecycle management and software development life cycle
- IT project leadership skills focused on control of the classic triple constraints of time, cost, and quality
- Demonstrated experience with risk management, risk mitigation and contingency planning
- Ability to logically and systematically evaluate project and process problems to determine appropriate solutions
- Ability to work independently and to work effectively as part of a group with diverse backgrounds and skills
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment and discretion under limited supervision
- Experience in conflict resolution with individuals or a team
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, time management skills, organizational skills, and oral and written skills
- ServiceNow experience with specific experience utilizing Service Now Project modules
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6
- Agile Project Management Certification
- Scrum Master Certification
- ITIL Foundations Certification
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Project and/or proven experience in equivalent tool: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and direct the activities of multi-disciplinary teams consisting of IT technical personnel, functional personnel, and interfaces with internal and external customers, including management and stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop, lead, and manage multiple concurrent and complex IT related infrastructure and/or application development projects in a fast paced, demanding business environment on time and within budget

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
