Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Instrument Technician to work in our I&C Crafts department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) facility with every Friday off. You will perform corrective, preventative, predictive, routine, and troubleshooting maintenance on instrumentation systems and components at ATR. You will report directly to the manager of the I&C Crafts department. Responsibilities Include: - Participate in the work control process planning walk down by providing recommendations to the planner on hazard identification, hazard mitigation, technical information, task sequencing, resource requirements, equipment requirements, and other information to produce a work document that can be used in the field to accomplish the identified work scope. - Review work orders/packages per INL work control procedures and provides meaningful and useful feedback. - Actively participate in INL briefings and post job reviews. Perform walk downs as directed by the foreperson. - Provide on-the-job training to other craftsmen as requested by maintenance management. - Provide feedback to the foreperson on any training needs or improvements that are needed to drive better performance and identifying any opportunities for improvement. - Provide feedback to the Planning Manager and/or Planning Technical Lead on any recommended improvements to the work order documentation process. - Maintain assigned qualifications in accordance with the INL and applicable program qualification process. - Plan, implement, and execute special projects within area of expertise assigned by the foreperson.
