Job Description
NNL is looking for a database administrator to join it's team! In this position, you will help maintain various database technologies (Oracle, SQL, MariaDB) and database infrastructure across multiple sites and networks along with a team of Database Administrators. You will provide support to users and developers, monitor system performance, security, and configurations, and improve operations. You will serve as an interface between the IT organization and the Lines of Business to ensure the information technology needs of the user communities are addressed. The team provides innovation and delivers quality solutions to growing data needs and technologies including data analytics, data storage, and data processing, among others. You will be encouraged to take increasing responsibility for operational and project work to drive your career to the next level!
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; or
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Fundamental knowledge of computing, preferably with Linux systems and relational databases.
- Awareness of computer infrastructure and associated fields, like hardware, networking, storage, virtualization, etc.
- Basic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, debug, and successfully resolve problems.
- Highly motivated and willing to learn and expand skillsets.
- Ability to work with and communicate across groups, diverse teams, or physical locations in collaborative and teaming environments.

Pay Range
$62,000.00 - $94,900.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
