Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Entry-Level Radiological Engineer to work in our Radiological Engineering department. Our team works on-site with a 4x10 schedule located out of our Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) facility with every Friday off. You will provide radiological engineering support and oversight for daily activities regarding Radiation Protection implementation. Help with the implementation and continuing improvement of radiological control program and oversite and review or operations to ensure implementation of proper radiological control requirements. You will report to the INL Radiological Programs and Engineering Manager and is matrixed to the Facility Radiological Controls Manager. Responsibilities Include: - Provide radiological engineering support for daily activities at the MFC facility regarding Radiation Protection implementation following the requirements of 10 CFR 835, applicable DOE Orders, and the INL Radiological Control Manual and associated INL Radiological Control procedures. - Help with the implementation and continuing improvement of the INL radiological control program. - Provide support of operations to assure implementation of proper radiological control practices. - Work with and support the assigned facility Radiological Controls Supervisor and related staff. - Review and evaluate proposed radiological work activities. Help with Technical Work Documents development, ALARA reviews, Radiation Work Permits, Waste Characterizations, Internal Dose Monitoring, and Air Sampling performance. Ensure that radiological controls are comprehensive and documented observing radiological procedures. - Comply with environmental, safety, health, radiation and contamination, and quality assurance regulations procedures for this position. Ensure own safety and safety of coworkers. - Report unsafe work conditions to immediate manager. Ensure that the five primary responsibilities of the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) are understood and applied when performing job responsibilities. Ensure that Laboratory excellence is achieved through appropriate implementation of conduct of operations. - Participate in safety related programs as defined by the Laboratory. -
