Duties
- You will determine the appropriate type and scope of investigation based on position sensitivity by reviewing security forms, case papers, and related personnel security documentation.
- You will review and evaluate investigative results from other agencies to ensure personnel security and suitability standards are met and identifying cases requiring expanded investigation or further adjudicative review.
- You will prepare or recommend adverse personnel security actions, including denial or revocation of clearance/eligibility, removal from employment, denial of employment.
- You will resolve security-related discrepancy reports using knowledge of personnel security policies, procedures, and regulations.
- You will process personnel security investigations for civilian, military, and contractor personnel to support access, continued employment, and eligibility for access to classified information.

- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
NO-02:
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band (NO-01) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions; planning and organizing work; and, communicating effectively orally and in writing.
NO-03:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/10) or pay band (NO-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Determining the appropriate personnel security investigation based on position sensitivity by reviewing security forms, case papers, and related documentation for civilian, military, and contractor personnel; 2) Preparing and recommending adverse personnel security actions, including denial of security clearance or eligibility, removal from employment, denial of employment, and suitability recommendations for approval, warning, or removal;3) Resolving personnel security discrepancy reports and analyzing security issues utilizing demonstrated knowledge of personnel security laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; and 4) Evaluating investigative results from other agencies to ensure compliance with personnel security and suitability standards to determine when expanded investigation is needed to resolve derogatory or questionable information.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
NO-02:
- Successfully completed a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
OR
- A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
NO-03:
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
- 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
