Job Description
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Security Department (SD) is looking for an Insider Threat (InT) Program Professional. SD's InT Program is responsible for protecting the people, assets, and information of NNL and Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) from the threat of an individual using their authorized access, wittingly or unwittingly, to do harm to the security of the United States. This threat can include damage through espionage, terrorism, unauthorized disclosure of national security information, workplace violence, or through the loss or degradation of resources or capabilities. The InT Program is a key element of SD's defense in depth strategy.
The InT Professional, under the guidance of the InT Coordinator, and as part of the InT Program team, will support the following:
- The ongoing development, implementation, maintenance, and administration of InT Program policies, procedures, and practices.
- Collaborating with the InT Coordinator on compliance issues related to insider threats, security, intelligence, counterintelligence, and other areas of specialization.
- Conducting or assisting in sensitive investigations that require a thorough understanding of the depth and scope of the potential impact of investigative results.
- Collecting, analyzing, and assessing data, facts, and corroborated and uncorroborated information, and employing knowledge of criminal and national security threats, to arrive at sound conclusions.
- Administering training programs and developing and delivering training and briefings related to security and the insider threat.
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience conducting, supporting, and/or documenting investigative interviews (e.g., security, law enforcement).
- Ability to maintain and properly control sensitive and personal information.
- Experience in matters of security concern (e.g., counterintelligence, workplace violence).
- Knowledge of NNPP technology, terminology, and information, and the value of protecting that information.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and team with others, including other corporate investigative groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing and delivering training content.
- Knowledge of information protection and information classification processes (e.g., security plans, derivative classification).

Pay Range
$78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually
