What You'll Do
Y-12 is committed to responsible asset management by balancing equipment availability with optimum cost of ownership. The Data Integration Lead is responsible for implementing the Y-12 Strategic Asset Management Program (SAMP) with regard to the integration of facility, equipment, and land data. The Data Integration Lead is responsible for the development of processes and tools that clean, align, and aggregate physical condition, maintenance, and cost datasets for infrastructure and programmatic equipment, mission critical and mission support facilities, and land. The goal of data integration is to prepare datasets and corresponding planning and analysis software tools to optimize site maintenance and modernization planning and execution.
Responsibilities
- Drive data quality improvement of facility and equipment condition information and land utilization data. The primary directive of this role is compliance with National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Supplemental Directive 430.1 Real Property Asset Management. The supplemental directive requires asset management data to be collected and managed in the Facilities Information Management System (FIMS) and BUILDER databases of record, owned by DOE and NNSA respectively.
- Develop, formalize, implement, and continuously improve strategies that enhance the integration of data from the Plant Health Asset Risk Manager (PHARM), BUILDER, FIMS, and SAP systems with future expansion into additional datasets. Serve as a primary point of contact for Y-12 and external stakeholders regarding SAMP data integration initiatives.
- Lead complex change initiatives in support of asset management and facility data integration by implementing business solutions through ADKAR, programmatic guidance, and innovative applications of computing systems and technology. This requires extensive leadership and engagement with the Facility Management Enterprise System (FMES) and SAP.
- Lead the development and optimized utilization of the FMES Data Wedge including the coordination of read-access and write-access to related Y-12 and Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) datasets in order to prepare asset and land data for business process simplification and artificial intelligence (AI) analysis and planning tool implementation.
- Co-develop the Y-12 BERNIE AI Expert with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) staff for infrastructure asset analysis and planning and serve as a BERNIE AI and InIt superuser and local data provisioning lead. Work collaboratively with NSE sites to develop best practices regarding AI tool development and data integration.
- Interface with other NSE sites and the United Kingdom's Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) to collaborate on enterprise asset management best practices by participating in the NNSA/AWE Joint Operational Working Group, JOWOG 30-03, Asset Strategy tasking.
- Contribute to site and NSE data integration and data governance efforts such as the Y-12 Infrastructure Data Working Group and the NSE Data Wedge Working Group and participate in NSE Infrastructure Technical Collaboration events.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- OR Master's degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- OR PhD.
- Twelve or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or technology from an EAC/ABET accredited program in the United States or designated equivalents from Canada or Mexico, the Washington Accord, or the list of substantially equivalent as documented by ABET.
- Thorough knowledge of NNSA and CNS processes, policies, and procedures; knowledge of functional organization interactions, processes, and systems; working knowledge of both the Facility Management Enterprise System and the SAP Plant Maintenance module.
- Ability to effectively interface with internal and external entities by presenting technical information clearly and effectively through oral, written, and visual communications which are tailored to the target audience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to perform duties with initiative, independent judgement, and discretion; demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with teams.
- Experience with FMES, BUILDER, FIMS, and SAP systems.
- Knowledgeable of DOE orders and NNSA supplemental directives regarding real property asset management.
