About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations within a high-volume manufacturing and foundry environment in Pulaski, Tennessee.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in foundry maintenance, proven leadership experience, and the ability to drive equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability, efficiency, and uptime
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of maintenance technicians
- Oversee both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, including scheduling and prioritization
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and identify opportunities to prevent mechanical failures
- Manage and improve the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program
- Partner with Engineering and Production teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize production downtime
- Manage maintenance and capital budgets while controlling costs
- Monitor maintenance tools, equipment, inventory, and spare parts
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and PM work
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations and develop effective solutions to minimize production disruptions
- Coordinate external contractors and specialized service providers, ensuring projects, materials, and services are delivered on time and to expected quality standards
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and cost efficiency
- Train, coach, and develop maintenance personnel to improve technical skills and overall team performance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of maintenance management experience
- Proven experience managing foundry maintenance operations
- Foundry experience is required; DISA and/or No-Bake experience is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including casting, heat treatment, and related technologies
- Proven ability to lead and motivate large maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Data-driven approach to decision-making and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a foundry producing wear-resistant components
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience managing supply chains, contractors, and vendors in complex manufacturing environments
- Experience managing maintenance and capital improvement projects
