Job Description
The software application and support team is seeking talented and enthusiastic summer interns to contribute towards key projects supporting the Department of Energy’s national security mission. The ideal candidate will be working toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related STEM degree.
Responsibilities
The Intern will support the following objectives daily:
- Work with the Business Applications team to design , implement and manage software applications through writing/ debugging code
- Participate in code reviews and other quality assurance activities
- Troubleshooting software issues
- Work in an contribute to an atmosphere of trust and integrity within the Business Applications team
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must be a US Citizen
- Enrolled in an undergraduate STEM program and have a current cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- Majoring in computer science, software engineering, or similar STEM degree
- Strong critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills
- Python, C#, Linux, SQL
