Job Title: Principal Business Analyst – Project Controls (Principal Project Controls Specialist)
Duration: Full-Time
Location: Aiken, SC (Savannah River Site)
Summary:
The Principal Business Analyst – Project Controls leads the development, implementation, and oversight of project controls, financial analysis, and estimating systems that give management full visibility into planning, scheduling, and cost control across a complex, unique DOE project or program. Working under limited supervision, this role builds cost and schedule baselines, manages change control and variance analysis, and serves as the key link between the client and the planning process, while providing technical leadership and training to other Project Controls staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering (or related field) and 5 years of practical experience; a Bachelor’s degree and 7 years, an Associate’s degree and 11 years, or a high school diploma and 15 years of relevant experience will be considered equivalent.
- Expert-level proficiency with automated accounting, cost management, scheduling, and estimating systems, including practical experience with Site Business systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management and cost/schedule control at the tactical level, along with familiarity with operations, maintenance, or project startup and construction.
- Primavera and COBRA experience required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance; active eFOCI registration and an approved Facility Level Clearance with DOE/NNSA are also required.
- Preferred: an active DOE clearance (L or Q) held within the past two (2) years.
- Occasional travel to Albuquerque, NM or Kansas City, MO required to attend in-person Project Controls Summits for classified Weapons Programs discussions.
