What You'll Do
Provide continuity of leadership in the absence of the Director of the Field Intelligence Element at the Y12 National Security Complex including the interface with Department of Energy Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence and numerous other national level intelligence agencies. Lead and coordinates a staff responsible for the management, safety, and security of one accredited Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), and a second pending construction in conjunction with the accrediting authorities of DOE IN. Responsible for select program development, formulating tasks and projects within an appropriate range of complexity, as well as mission management. Assist in the development of long-range staffing plans and strategies and analyzes the impact of mission changes on personnel, mission and the organization. Determine programmatic objectives and requirements, and recommends procedural improvements for assigned programs. Present complex data & other material to senior CNS Leadership and national level Intelligence Community leadership. Model / demonstrate an ability to lead under and propagate a values-based culture including Integrity, Trust, Teamwork, and Excellence with a focus on the CNS imperatives of "Safe, Secure, Zero Defects, & Deliver as Promised." Responsible for managing a broad range of intelligence operations and risk management activities. Responsible for assisting with the preparation for and undergoing inspections and accreditation of classified systems and facilities with applicable regulatory agencies. Responsible for implementing the vision and strategic direction of the Y-12 Field Intelligence Element and representing core mission areas - Intelligence Training, Analysis, relevant site Subject Matter Expertise – to the Intelligence Community.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- OR Master's degree: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- OR PhD.
- Master’s degree and 10 years of work experience within the Intelligence Community is preferred. Experience related to National Intelligence Community programs is required.
- The candidate will possess a work history that demonstrates outstanding people skills, with the ability to energize, organize, and lead groups of intelligence and intelligence mission support personnel.
- Strong leadership and demonstrated ability to interact, present and communicate with Senior Management, National Intelligence Community, and other government customers on a regular basis.
- Thorough understanding of Intelligence Community Directives.
- Current TS clearance or eligibility for reinstatement.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Master’s degree and 15 years of work experience within the Intelligence Community. Experience at a national-level Intelligence Agency, especially related to Y-12 mission space.
- Acknowledged expertise in the National Intelligence Community is preferred.
- Q clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
- Experience within DoE-IN mission space / operations, and Field Intelligence Enterprise.
- Direct experience at one of the National Intelligence Community stakeholders is preferred.
- Deep and current practical experience in various information technology, current intelligence matters and special security subject areas.
