What You'll Do
The Construction Escort Coordinator works closely with Escort Leads from various subcontractor companies, Construction Subcontract Technical Representatives (STRs), and the Construction Management team to determine daily/weekly job assignments based on project workloads. The Construction Escort Coordinator assures assigned escorts are capable of performing the task they are assigned by confirming training and credentials are up to date. The Construction Escort Coordinator communicates with the subcontractor Escort Leads and/or STRs if there is a modification of assignment.
The Construction Escort Coordinator assists STRs with the subcontract formation process including scoping, bidding, awarding, and submittal management. Assists STRs with technical oversight of assigned subcontractors. Assists STRs with overseeing subcontractors work to ensure compliance with safety, quality, design and conduct of operations. Assists subcontractor with obtaining permits and other Y-12 support.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Supports the subcontract formation process and Subcontracts Administrator (SA) during the bid process. Provides support to construction projects and technical oversight to subcontractors. Provides technical/programmatic guidance on multiple and complex construction management tasks. Independently makes decisions regarding daily tasks and assignments, works with the Escort Leads, STRs and SA. Completes assigned tasks under minimal supervision and technical direction. Reviews and interprets agreements and subcontract conditions to determine if information is adequate for successful completion. Maintains direct relationship with the STR and the Subcontract Administrator.
Provides technical support in all phases of construction execution team formation, project execution, and closeout. Prepares training reports, conducts progress meetings with subcontractors, and keeps the management team informed of assigned work as needed. Participates in obtaining all required facility specific training and briefs/clearances, Escort Agreements, and work authorizations prior to commencing work on site. Performs verification of work in progress to ensure requirements of safety, security, and quality, environmental control, workmanship, and schedule are met. Establishes and maintains a weekly work schedule, and generates a weekly summary report. Assists in the preparation of procedures, subcontract packages, and technical documents. Prepares purchase requisitions for materials and services, reports monthly accruals, and completes cost transfers. Transmits completed files to STR and SA, as necessary, upon work completion.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree
- OR eight or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
Preferred Job Requirements
Prefer five years of relevant experience (i.e., excellent organizational skills, record keeping, coordination/assignment of daily duties to individuals, validation of credentials and compliance with procedures and processes).
