Job Description
We are looking for a Project Engineer who is passionate about driving improvement, originating new ideas, and supporting evolving Laboratory requirements.
The Electrical Systems Engineering Project Engineer would be responsible for the following responsibilities:
- Managing projects; Leading and guiding the project team, encouraging cooperations, communication, and quality of the project deliverables
- Effectively communicate with NRLFO, NR, and senior management on project status and any issues that may arise on the project
- Originate new ideas to support Laboratory changes in functions requirements, improvements, and/or cost savings initiatives
- Effective teaming with support organizations such as: Operations and Maintenance personnel, Construction, Environmental Safety and Health, Radiological, Waste, Security, and IT functions as necessary to support the overall project
- Making decisions about the path of the project to ensure deliverables are on-time and within budget as well as performing change management when problems arise
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science or construction field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science or construction field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science or construction field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or Currently a Principal Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing multiple projects and in project planning
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and teaming abilities, and demonstrated process improvement abilities
- Experience in managing or overseeing Construction and/or Facilities projects
- Candidate must also have demonstrated leadership ability
- Experience working with subcontractors
- Experience working with regulator and/or compliance organizations
- Previous experience or training in problem identification and resolution, causal analysis, etc.
- Previous experience with project planning tools (MS Project or Primavera) and resource loading, to include work breakdown structure (WBS)

Pay Range
$106,200.00 - $166,000.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
