Our Business Services team is seeking a dynamic Business Analyst who can provide support to management for Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity related tasks. Our mission is to support the economic stability of CPCCo and the local Tri-Cities community through identifying savings opportunities, achieving subcontracting goals, implementing secure IT solutions, and being a good steward of taxpayer dollars! A day in the life of a Cybersecurity Business Analyst includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Support CPCCo organizations with cybersecurity audits, assessments, data calls, investigations, and incidents as needed.
- Support development of policies, procedures, and other documentation in support of Department of Energy (DOE) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requirements for Federal Information Systems.
- Provide IT support to CPCCo Industrial Control System (ICS) owners with system maintenance, patching, upgrades, and new deployments.
- Assist in vulnerability remediation as required.
- Assist system owners in preparing Privacy Threshold Assessments and Privacy Impact Assessments as required.
- Serve as a liaison between the central Hanford cybersecurity program and CPCCo organizations.
- Assist system owners in gaining Authority to Operate and cybersecurity risk acceptance for new system introductions to the Hanford computing environment.
- Represent the Information Management department during company initiatives and projects that include, or would benefit from, software and technology solutions.
- Lead CPCCo efforts in the successful and timely completion of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Emergency Directives (ED).
- Staying current with technological developments and provide recommendations on how to take advantage of new advancements across CPCCo organizations to reduce costs and accelerate cleanup efforts.
- Participate in cross-contractor teams to identify, develop, and implement joint information management solutions. Represent company interests during joint contractor projects.
- Support the management team in timely and quality closure of actions. Successfully manage priorities, special projects, deadlines, and routine workloads.
- Demonstrate excellent problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Effectively communicate systems, processes, and technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences in oral and written formats.
Basic Qualifications
- Intermediate Grade 15: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 3 or more years of relevant experience
- Career Level Grade 16: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
- 4 or more years in Cybersecurity and Information Technology fields
- Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, Sec+, etc.)
- Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requirements or similar
- Experience with implementation of DOE Order 205.1, "Department of Energy Cybersecurity Program" and NIST SP 800-53, "Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations"
- Program experience in Information Management at Hanford or DOE site
- Experience with IT Hardware and Software asset management systems
- Knowledge and understanding of Hanford Site systems, processes, and interfaces.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and strong negotiating skills
- Self-motivated with ability to set and manage multiple priorities
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to details
- Experience in technical or procedural writing
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and SharePoint
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
- Intermediate Grade 15: $81,500 - $114,100.
- Career Level Grade 16: $81,500 - $125,250.
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
