A day in the life of the D4ES Industrial Hygiene Technician Supervisor includes, but is not limited to:
- Providing direction, guidance, and oversight to bargaining unit Industrial Hygiene Technicians (IHTs) in support of the IAES Project.
- Assisting in work planning and scheduling resources to implement appropriate Industrial Hygiene sampling/monitoring and controls within defined work activities.
- Addressing bargaining unit concerns and grievances.
- Interfacing with project management to efficiently accomplish the mission in a safe and compliant manner.
- Ensure field personnel are compliant with company mandated and other applicable policies, procedures, programs and regulations including DOE directives, personnel safety, environmental compliance and safety of the general public.
- Under general managerial oversight, supports planning and execution of Industrial Hygiene work activities.
- Promotes a positive, safety-conscious, and collaborative work environment consistent with the CPCCo mission, vision, and values, based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. Implements ISMS, VPP, and EMS responsibilities in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Conducts management observations and assessments for safety and health compliance.
- Resolves work and safety issues to permit safe and efficient performance of work in the field.
- Manage Industrial Hygiene instrumentation calibration/tracking, media inventory and ordering.
Basic Qualifications
Grade 18 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (may include journey-level craft), plus 4 years relevant experience.
Grade 19 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (may include journey-level craft), plus 6 years relevant experience.
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous management/supervisory/lead experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent communication skills.
- Previous nuclear facility experience.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
Grade 18: $94,750 - $151,800
Grade 19: $104,200 - $166,650
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
