Job Description
Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator / Onboarding Specialist to perform a wide variety of activities that support the Talent Acquisition Team within the Human Resources Department. They will also support New Employee Orientation (NEO) by organizing and facilitating weekly onboarding of new hires and providing a corporate overview of SRNL for a successful integration of new staff into the workforce.
Responsibilities
- Lead the presentation and delivery of various NEO topics on a weekly basis.
- Own Day 1 candidate experience and ensure new hires successfully onboard.
- Build NEO reports and communications with IT resources and provide to key partners on a weekly basis.
- Extend weekly welcome emails to new hires, admins, and hiring managers, and forward virtual NEO invites
- Own NEO enrollment, confirming all pre-boarding activities are complete and send updates to hiring teams.
- Create the annual NEO schedule and maintain updates.
- Anticipate NEO material needs weekly, prepare for future sessions, track inventory, transport NEO materials to venue, and set-up on day of event.
- Run the NEO sign-in table, greet new hires, and disburse credentials and materials
- Support updates and guidance reflected on the internal website.
- Maintain updates to the Pre-Employment Process Site and Onboarding Checklists
- Use Microsoft Excel; build reports, charts, and graphs, including use of pivot tables.
- Support development of trainings and engagement opportunities
- Monitor NEO/Onboarding email and Oracle cases
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communication, Public Policy, or another relevant field plus 4 years relevant experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
- Experience in an HR field with the ability to handle confidential HR information
- A demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
- Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to lift 20-40lbs as needed to transport display materials
Preferred Qualifications
- High level of competency in Customer Service
- Bias for action to take initiative when assisting candidates and managers
- Ability to use considerable judgement to make decisions and recommend solutions
- Proven organizational skills as well as Microsoft Excel experience (analyzing and preparing reports)
- Experience leading new employee orientation and onboarding training and events
- The ability to understand and perform at a high level in a demanding, sophisticated program, across divisions and locations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- General knowledge of business operations and professional practices
- Software knowledge: Oracle or similar ATS (Applicant Tracking System), Background Screening Software
- Relocation vendor interface
- Completing Background checks
