What You'll Do
The Workplace Strategy Advisor is responsible for developing and executing strategies for the optimal use of space across the Y-12 site for multiple buildings and locations. This role leads cross-functional efforts to align physical workspace with organizational needs, hybrid work schedules, and operational goals. The Workplace Strategy Advisor will oversee space allocation, utilization reporting, workplace standards, and planning for future growth or consolidation in support of the Y-12 mission. Ultimately, this highly impactful role analyzes the organization’s business goals, culture, and space usage in efforts to design and implement efficient and productive work environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the strategic planning, allocation, and forecasting of space across all facilities.
- Partners closely with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
- Exercises influence, negotiates change management and continuous process improvement initiatives, and influences decision making at various levels, including senior leadership, to meet organizational objectives.
- Serves as key advisor on space planning and utilization policies.
- Leads and supervises a team of space planners and analysts.
- Develops and implements long term space management strategy, occupancy metrics, and utilization targets.
- Exercises strong abilities to identify and resolve workspace issues, utilizing creative methods to enhance workspace efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversees site wide space allocation and optimization.
- Partners with cross-functional teams on moves, adds, and changes to space.
- Directs space management transformation efforts to support hybrid and hoteling models.
- Provides space utilization dashboards, KPIs, and reports for executive leadership.
- Coordinates reconfigurations and supports lease planning with data.
- Ensures space decisions support accessibility, sustainability, and mission goals in alignment with applicable requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 14 years of relevant experience in space planning or office services management related roles
- OR Master's degree: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in space planning or office services management related roles
Preferred Job Requirements
- Experience implementing Office Services space planning initiatives in regulated environments across multiple office buildings
- Proven experience in strategic planning for space management initiatives
- Strong knowledge of leasing processes or workplace service strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams
