What You'll Do
This role will serve as a key technical team member on the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) applications development team. Earned Value Management System applications consist of a suite of applications used in support of project control functions that are coupled with internally developed web applications for integration, efficiency, and quality purposes.
A typical day may include supporting the full software development lifecycle, including managing upgrades, system administration, technical support, and development of automated systems and data integrations for the following Commercial off the Shelf Software (COTS) packages: Acumen Fuse/Risk, WebEVM, Empower, Primavera P6, and Sage Estimating, as well as SAP and custom web applications. This role will transform Access/Oracle applications and SQL scripts used by team members into an enterprise EVMS web-based system in an effort to optimize solutions for data integrations and lower the barrier for entry for other team members. Other transformation efforts include standardizing end-user facing applications that differ by project. Additional duties include data integration, optimization, business process analysis, and system support. This role will utilize critical thinking to help maintain production operations, system troubleshooting, and problem analysis, and will collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals who embrace innovation and creativity. Finally, this role will work closely with project shareholders to scope, estimate, and provide overall technical guidance to develop and implement high quality software solutions.
Core Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with functional and business team members, project management, enterprise architects, system engineers, and application developers to support, design, and develop EVMS applications based on approved architecture and business requirements.
- Design and implement innovative solutions to resolve complex IT and business problems while remaining compliant with our DOE and NNSA EVMS requirements.
- Automate and centralize data integration points between EVMS systems.
- Lead technical projects through effective communication with peers, customers, and management.
- Ensure solutions are well-engineered, optimized, operable, and maintainable while also ensuring adherence to defined project management policies, change management guidelines, cyber security requirements, and software quality assurance processes.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- OR Master's degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- OR Twelve or more years of education, training, and/or progressive experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Full stack development experience with programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, JQuery, Bootstrap, .Net, C#, C++, HTML5, XTML, etc.
- Experience with Integrated Development Environments such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse or Visual Studio Experience with SAP UI 5, SAP HANA is a plus.
- Experience with Denodo Virtual Data Platform is a plus.
- Version control tool such as GIT, SVN, or other code repositories.
- Knowledge of cloud solutions and services.
- Oracle or other relational database management systems with experience in SQL.
- Proficiency with data analytics, data mapping, integration automation practices, and cross system integrations.
- Knowledge of EVMS, including configuration and management of enterprise features and data: Primavera, WebEVM, Acumen, or Sage Estimating.
- Hands-on experience utilizing and maintaining project cost processors in an earned value management systems environment.
- Surveillance and audit experience from a systems standpoint in an earned value management system environment.
- Knowledge of EVMS methodologies, systems, and emerging practices.
- Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Experience with ITIL processes and agile development is preferred.
