Idaho National Laboratory is hiring Computer System Administration Analyst for our Computer Engineering department. This position is located at our Materials and Fuels Complex. Our team works a 4x10 schedule every Friday off. INL is recognized as the lead national laboratory for DOE-NE, providing much of the nuclear research, development, and demonstration capability needed to move nuclear innovation forward to deployment. MFC hosts a unique combination of personnel, facilities and infrastructure and offers the ability to perform research and development of nuclear fuels from fuel development and fabrication through post irradiation analysis. You will oversee administration of laboratory computer software systems, e.g., human resources, property management, financial systems, procurement, and engineering in a nuclear industry environment. Support needs of the server system administration staff, prioritize service requests, develop, maintain, and recommend solutions to system needs. You will resolve conflicts and problems that occur between end-users. Monitor and control system access and ensure system availability for process needs. Responsibilities: - Provides security system administration in assigned area of expertise. - Support assigned networks, multiple individual workstations, equipment, software maintenance and upgrades. Responsible for problem identification, mitigation, and resolution in server hardware, operating systems, applications, and networking hardware and configuration. - Ensure system and data integrity by monitoring and evaluating system controls, and assuring compliance with established, Company access controls, and computer security procedures. Evaluate complex system interface data on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly interval to ensure system processing functions correctly. - Responsible for ensuring all assigned activities are performed in a secure manner. You will observe applicable laboratory procedures, within safety authorizations, in accordance with security plans and requirements. - Apply professional concepts in providing complex operational (i.e., production level) technical support and maintenance related to existing and emerging enterprise level information technology systems. You will interface with operational systems (OT) in an industrial environment. - Responsible for system maintenance, web server application management, enterprise data storage administration, and multi-factor authentication processes. Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques to implement innovative solutions associated with enterprise system performance requirements. - Provide technical reviews and input related to these IT/OT system performance requirements, system level, and security procedures. - Guide communication between functional subject matter experts and management to ensure thorough communication of requirements and functionality. - Provision new equipment in accordance with industry best practice, vendor recommendations, and organizational needs. - Provide technical leadership and review of less experienced IT/OT technical staff and contribute to senior staff as the project/effort dictates. - Other duties as assigned.
