Job Description
Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking to hire a Group Manager for the Quality Assurance (QA) organization. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing QA programs and initiatives. This role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement, and leading a team of QA professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA programs, policies, and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Oversee and manage QA audits and assessments to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to QA regulations and best practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals, providing direction, support, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate QA considerations into business operations and decision-making processes.
- Monitor and analyze QA performance metrics and trends and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely reporting and communication of QA incidents, non-conformances, and corrective actions to relevant stakeholders.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations and industry standards, and communicate changes to the organization.
- Coordinate and deliver QA training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring awareness and understanding of QA policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding QA matters.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Science, Business Management or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience.
- Quality Assurance work experience in an NQA-1 QA program
- In-depth knowledge of QA regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and implement plans for QA programs.
- For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in QA management or serving in a lead role.
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or Science-related technical discipline
- Active DOE Clearance
- Experience working in a National Laboratory
- Current or prior Lead Auditor certification
