The Leadership Computing division at Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a candidate who has recently completed a bachelor's degree to join their team as a Postbaccalaureate Appointee. In this role, you can expect to:
- Support the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility’s education and workforce development pipeline.
- Coordinate student engagement, monitor outcomes, and deliver high-quality program logistics and communications.
- Work across initiatives such as the Intro to HPC Bootcamp, ATPESC, and user training to ensure consistent tracking, evaluation, and outreach that drives sustained participant success.
Position Requirements
- Recently completed Bachelor's degree in computer science, physical sciences, engineering, or related field
- Experience in programming with one or more languages such as C, C++, or Python
- Effective organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines collaboratively
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Familiarity with social media/listserv management and audience engagement best practices
- Ability to model Argonne’s core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity and teamwork
- Preferred experience in STEM/HPC education; tools such as Microsoft Forms WordPress/Drupal, and basic data analysis (Excel/Sheets; dashboards)
