Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities
Occupational Safety is looking for a high performing individual with an attention to detail to join our team as a Senior Continuous Process Improvement Specialist, to support Occupational Safety metrics, data analysis and field work inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve business efficiencies and performance by analyzing, designing, and implementing business processes.
- Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvements and then develop and implement solutions to streamline operations and achieve desired outcomes.
- Establish teams to coordinate projects for metric development.
- Support OS&IH database process improvements.
- Gather and analyze data related to process performance, identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to support recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement solutions to address identified inefficiencies, which may include process automation, workflow optimization, and system enhancements.
- Support OS&IH field work to include chemical inventory and checklist completion.
- Position involves indoor work in an office setting and outdoor work in construction areas, activities in extreme temperatures, work in chemical protective clothing, work in construction areas including underground areas, and in nuclear facilities, and work with employees in all levels and professions.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management. Responsibilities may extend to similar/related work as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and at least 5 years of professional level experience, or equivalent training and experience.
- Attention to detail, and high degree of accuracy required in writing technical documents and ensuring all Company policies and procedures are followed.
- Able to utilize independent judgment, creativity, initiative, and ability to apply knowledge and experience to resolve problems and compose technical correspondence and reports, and accomplish goals where established procedures may not be specific.
- Ability to multi-task, manage time, organize, and set priorities and make timely decisions
- Must be highly organized and able to prioritize and schedule multiple activities of the organizational unit.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all types of people in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while screening and maintaining confidentiality.
- Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complains, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
- The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
- Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘
Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘
Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’

Annual salary range for this position is:
$78,832.00 - $118,248.00.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
