What You'll Do
The Linux System Administrator you will be responsible for the Linux system administration, PKI administration and RSA administration supporting the national security mission to maintain the safety, security, and effectiveness of the United States nuclear weapons stockpile. As part of the Work for Others/DCSA organization’s Operations team, the Linux system admin position allows you to work in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Twelve or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy education and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
- Requires a complete understanding and broad application of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts in the field of specialization.
- Requires general knowledge of other related disciplines and/or functions.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite or Foreman.
- Experience with configuration and deployment automation (e.g., Ansible, Kickstart).
- Experience installing and configuring common Linux services such as: Postfix, Dovecot, Apache HTTP, Apache Tomcat, MariaDB/MySQL, Java, BIND, Chrony/NTP, NFS.
- Experience with configuring Linux servers for security compliance (DISA STIG).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions (e.g., Amazon Web Services) and hybrid environments
- Familiarity with VMWare configuration / administration (ESXi, vCenter).
- Familiarity with HPE Blade and Dell server configuration/administration.
- Knowledge of networking, storage, and system security principles.
- Strong understanding of the interactions between applications, operating systems, and third-party software.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
