Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst II to manage and enhance our data analytics, dashboards, metrics, and SharePoint environments. This role will support business decision-making by developing insights from data, streamlining reporting processes, and maintaining collaborative platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with data visualization tools, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of business information systems using applied knowledge and principals (systems approach) and assists in determining appropriate solution for business opportunities and/or issues.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance key business metrics, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Work with stakeholders to define and refine data requirements.
- Provide actionable insights through data analysis to support business strategies.
- Assist in collecting, assembling and analyzing requirements to meet the needs of the organization.
- Assist with project documentation, the management of project schedule and budget.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms.
- Utilize data visualization tools to present clear and actionable insights.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency in training development and data management.
- May coordinate or participate in project tasks, such as testing and end-user training.
- May perform data entry and reporting.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business related field and at least 2 years of professional level experience or equivalent training and experience.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, Excel, or similar data visualization tools.
- Experience with SQL and database querying for data extraction and analysis.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and have advanced skills with software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Knowledge of SharePoint administration and workflow automation.
- The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday – Thursday (subject to change).
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘
Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘
Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’

Annual salary range for this position is:
$63,856.00 - $95,784.00
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
