Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Our MISSION is to help ensure the security of the United States and its allies by providing high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities through operations, engineering, education, field, and integration services and by acting as environmental stewards to the Site’s Cold War legacy. Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement classroom training programs using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) methodology, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Design, develop, and implement Instructor-led training (ILT) and Web-based training (WBT) programs using instructional design best practices.
- Develop training materials, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, e-learning modules, job aids, and multimedia content.
- Create and maintain assessments, quizzes, and exams to measure learning outcomes.
- Assist in identifying, evaluating, and recommending new course materials, software development tools, and graphics tools and resources as necessary to stay current with industry trends.
- Partner with SMEs, content owners, and leadership to gather requirements, validate content, and ensure training accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Ensure currency of training materials to include revising course analysis documents, lesson plans, tests, and training effectiveness tools.
- Support train-the-trainer initiatives by coaching facilitators and ensuring consistency in content delivery.
- Analyze training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance data.
- Recommend and implement improvements based on evaluation results.
- Stay current on industry trends, learning technologies, and best practices to enhance training programs.
- Ensure training records generated for development are maintained per company training and records processes.
- Manage small to medium sized training projects, ensuring timelines and resources are effectively managed.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, training, instructional design, or adult education or related field or equivalent training and experience. At least 2 years of professional-level experience.
- Knowledge of instructional design methodology (Systematic Approach to Training or similar), including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation processes.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and facilitation methods.
- Knowledge of learning management systems
- Knowledge of federal regulations, DOE Orders, and other guidance documents for training and instruction, specifically those impacting nuclear activities and facilities.
- Experience conducting classroom or small group instruction effectively for adult audiences.
- Effective oral and writing skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure with frequent interruptions, multiple priorities, and meeting strict deadlines.
- Must have excellent organizational skills, and have advanced skills with software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook; working knowledge of MS Access is desirable.
- The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday – Thursday (subject to change)
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘
Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘
Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’

Annual salary range for this position is:
$63,856.00 - $95,784.00.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
