Job Description
SRNL is seeking a Data Analyst responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and insights, then presenting these findings through reports and visualizations to inform business decisions; requiring strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Collecting data from diverse internal and external sources, including databases, APIs, and surveys. Build and maintain curated datasets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy for reporting and advanced analytics.
Identifying and correcting errors in data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Performing statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis, and trend analysis to uncover patterns and insights.
Creating visual representations of data using charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate findings clearly.
Developing and presenting comprehensive reports summarizing key data insights to stakeholders. Design and develop dashboards other visualization tools to present insights in an intuitive format.
Designing and maintaining databases to efficiently store and access data.
Working with different departments to understand business needs and identify relevant data points.
Provide outstanding, friendly, customer service to all SRNL staff, including executives as appropriate while being a positive representation of the Data Analytics team to the entire organization.
Handle risks efficiently, identify potential problems and gaps early, and assist in resolving or raising issues as appropriate.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree + 4-6 or MS Degree + 2-5 years of relevant experience
- For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, OTBI, BI
- Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of statistical concepts to interpret data accurately.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within complex datasets.
- Problem-Solving: Identifying issues within data and proposing solutions to address them.
- Communication Skills: Clearly communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to provide direction and guidance, build a trusting relationship, work independently and with colleagues in a team effort, maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations, work in a fast-paced environment, respond well under pressure, and adapt to change required.
