Job Description
The hydrogen Isotope Science Group is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to join our team investigating innovative hydrogen isotope separation techniques, tritium effects on materials and novel materials development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied physics, with expertise in materials characterization, gas separation processes, and experimental design.
The Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are fixed term assignments within the company and benefits eligible.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct research on novel gas separation methods and materials under the guidance of the research advisor.
- Characterize material using various techniques (e.g. SEM, TPD, permeation tests, etc.)
- Analyze experimental data and publish finding in peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborate with team members on multidisciplinary projects.
- Present research outcomes at technical conferences and workshops.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD + 0-1 years in Applied physics, Materials Science, or related field.
- Strong experimental and analytical skills.
- Experience in separation techniques and materials characterization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Works safely with particular attention to quality. Complies with all policies and standards. Maintain appropriate level government security clearance.
- Individuals must have completed all requirements for their PhD by the start of employment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for which U.S. Citizenship is legally required.
