About
Public safety and emergency management professional with experience across military operations, domestic emergency response, university public safety, emergency communications, training, safety planning, and operational coordination. I currently serve as a commissioned Army National Guard Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) officer and as a Community Service Officer with the University of Tennessee Police Department.
My military experience includes serving as a Battle Captain during domestic emergency-response operations, including Winter Storm Fern response efforts and the Memphis Safety Task Force. In these roles, I supported command-post and emergency operations activities, maintained situational awareness, coordinated operational information, tracked and processed more than 46 Serious Incident Reports, conducted mission analysis and risk assessments, and communicated time-sensitive information to leadership. I have also coordinated with military and civilian partners, including the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), and have planned and supported training with public-safety agencies.
My civilian public-safety experience includes campus security and patrol operations, emergency communications, Computer-Aided Dispatch, radio communications, records and documentation, alarm monitoring, administrative support, and coordination with law-enforcement and emergency-response personnel.
I hold an active Secret security clearance, a Master of Science in Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications, and a bachelor’s degree in Public Safety Administration with a concentration in Disaster Management. I have completed CBRN Basic Officer Leader Course training and multiple FEMA/NIMS courses covering incident command, emergency management, continuity, resource management, leadership, and the National Response Framework. I was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for my service as a Battle Captain during domestic response operations before my training as a CBRN officer.
