Argonne National Laboratory seeks applications from organized and motivated individuals to join a team of finance professionals focused on providing funding support for the laboratory. This position reports to the Budget Officer / Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.
In this position you will be responsible for the daily and monthly financial analysis and oversight for Non-Federal Entities (NFE) funding. Provide financial support for these activities including creating new projects ACKs (the agreement to provide Laboratory goods and services to external customers), and providing amendments to ACKs. Coordinate across FMPS and Division financial representatives to closeout and de-obligate NFE funded projects. Reviews and approves proposals submitted by the laboratory’s operations and research Divisions using the site’s proposal submission system. Ensure the validity and timeliness of the assigned funding activities. Establish and maintain complex tables and transaction file data to track and monitor work projects and conference set-ups. This includes responsibility for daily work project approval, system set-up and signature authority. For conferences projects, approve conference project requests and utilize analytical and customer facing skills to reconcile projects and recommend and perform closeouts. Assist Financial Planning and Analysis with special assignments and data requests in support of DOE audit reviews. Provide quality customer service to inquiries from inside and outside of FMPS. Respond to a variety of ad-hoc financial requests as directed.
