Job Description
We have an opening for an undergraduate IT Business Systems Analyst Intern supporting the Enterprise Service Management Office (eSMO) within the Livermore Information Technology (LivIT) Program. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with IT teams to document effective solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities.
In this role you will
- Conduct research on industry trends and best practices to support project initiatives.
- Create and maintain documentation, including process flows, user guides, and training materials.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for business process improvements.
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements through customer interviews, surveys, and workshops.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop and design technology solutions that meet business needs.
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure technology solutions developed meet business requirements.
- Assist in evaluating new tools and software solutions.
- Propose recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Attend meetings and contribute to discussions regarding project status and updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to think creatively and adapt to changing requirements.
- Ability to present and communicate concepts and ideas.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

This includes, but not limited to cell phones, tablets, fitness devices, wireless headphones, and other Bluetooth/wireless enabled devices.
If you use a medical device, which pairs with a mobile device, you must still follow the rules concerning the mobile device in individual sections within Limited Areas. Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities require separate approval. Hearing aids without wireless capabilities or wireless that has been disabled are allowed in Limited Areas, Secure Space and Transit/Buffer Space within buildings.
